[plumi-discuss] Large video files (200+MB) support?

I'm looking for a solution to host sites for large video files. A user wants to be able to upload 30 minute videos (approx 200MB). I tried it with Drupal and FlashVideo, but the transcoding takes place DURING the PHP request, and will require about 12 minutes for each video. PHP doesn't like to serve requests that long (yes, I know I can keep bumping up the request time).

Does Plumi handle things this big, and is the encoding handled outside the scope of a request???
