[plumi-discuss] Can Plumi work without the transcoding function

Greetings, everyone:

Plumi is a nice platform, especially thanks to the efforts made to push
out the minor versions, which are not bleeding edge but more practical.

My question is: Can Plumi 0.23 work without turning the transcoding
function on? I mean when users upload flv, rm, wmv, asf, esc. those will
be directly displayed and played by viewers, without changing every
format to flv. This is like what p4a.video does. Plumi provides a whole
package, that attracts me.

Another thing is: when I try to install Plumi using buildout, some error
happens, mentioned that py 0.92 can not be installed. I don't know if
this is because I used a different version of Python or due to the
buildout breakout.

I understand that Plumi currently works with Zope instance but not Zeo.
My question is then: how many concurrent users can the website host
(assuming unlimited bandwidth, ideally).

Thank you very much for the help,

Wei
